FELT will be in fashion at a tea party in Wandin this week hosted by two Yarra Valley designers.

Catherine Byatt, from Wandin, and Joan Stowell, from Seville, will show off their fashion creations at Mont De Lancey historic home and museum on Sunday, May 18, to raise money for the Blue Hat Project that offers creative activities, including hat-making, for people with depression.

The pair started their business, Feltazia, in 2006 and make unique hats and clothes from felt using techniques that combine silk, Australian merino wool and mohair.

As well as the fashion tea party, Feltazia's felted garments will be on display at Mont De Lancey from May 19 to June 21. Details: Feltazia the tea party, Sunday, May 18, 7.30-9.30pm. Mont De Lancey, Wellington Rd, Wandin North.

Refreshments provided. Drinks at bar prices.

Entry: $10 (all proceeds go to Blue Hat Project). Phone Mont De Lancey on 5964 2088 for more details or email info@montdelancey.org.au.
